Naples Velo Community

"Our mission is to build a community that promotes cycling at all skill levels"

Hi, Naples Velo members! My name is Ana and I am a novice cyclist looking for a ride buddy that would enjoy meeting a person that is open to mentoring, gentle coaching and shorter distance - slower rides with an enthusiastic and willing learner. My schedule is pretty flexible but my preference is early morning only because I'm still a little nervous around traffic. I purchased my bike Saturday, fell Sunday, got back on it  Monday and today. I am committed!!  I am also serious about building and perfecting my skill to go on my first group ride with all of you! If you are that person, please contact me via Naples Velo. Thanks so much!!

Hi, Erik! No, not just yet. I have been

hello i am coming over from england in January to miss our bad weather, i would like to join up for rides, and learn the area.

Hi Rob!

Are you a novice cyclist? I've been on my bike for about 5 months now and have built up some speed and endurance. Always looking for another ride buddy! Please email me once you arrive and are ready to enjoy our perfect Naples weather.

All the best,

where do you ride, i'm also new to the area and would like someone else to ride with.

Hello Nick,

I just did a group ride through Old Naples but, I have been cycling in Pelican Bay and East Naples. Where do you ride?

I usually ride from Vanderbilt and Livingston to the Naples pier via pelican bay and back on the weekends. Not a fast rider and out of shape so just trying to get some miles under my belt.

Hello Nick & Ana -

I live in South Fort Myers, but bring my bike down to Naples on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday) to do some riding from the Pavilion Shopping Center (Naples Cyclery) down through Pelican Bay Blvd and as far south as Venetian Village or even further south into the Moorings (near Lowdermilk Park) for a total of 15 miles round trip.  I'm not a racer - though I do sprint from time to time just for conditioning.  Average Speed:  14 to 16 mph  Sprint to 20-22 mph at times.   Then, afterwards I usually stop for a post-ride cup of coffee at Fit & Fuel.

Like you, Nick, I'm just getting back into cycling (lost about 10 pounds since I started in late October) and I love it!   I know this is last minute, but if you guys are still in town - I usually start at the Pavilion at around 10am on Saturday and just take my time cycling through.  :)

Hi Robert!

Happy New Year!

How long are you going to be in town for?   I may be up for a shorter ride on the January 17th as I'm cycling 15 miles on January 18th in the Tour De Cape (Cape Coral, Florida).    But, if you're in town for a few weeks, I'd be up for a ride on the 24th (Saturday).

Let me know!
